The Effect of Using Fast Backward Step Training with the Treadmill by Speed and Height on Turtle Neck Posture¡¯s Improvemen
Jun Hyun-Ju

Abstract
Purpose: This study was conducted to find out the effect of fast backstep treadmill training, modifying speedand slope, on the improvement of turtle neck. We recruited 20 male and female college students with Turtleneck syndrome.

Methods: We measured neck angles using a goniometer in the following speed and slope conditions: (1) 3.5kmand 0%, (2) 3.5km and 5%, (3) 3km and 0%, (4) 3km and 5%.

Results: This study found that the neck angles were changed by fast backstep treadmill training. Specifically, the neck angle of 3.5km and 0% condition was a significant difference in that of 3km and 0%.

Conclusion: These results show that fast backstep treadmill training with modifying walking speed will helpimprove the turtle neck. In fast backstep treadmill training, walking speed may be an important factor in turtleneck patients.
